About the job Compensation & Benefits Specialist
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Compensation & Benefits Specialist for one of our established clients. The candidate will oversee and administer employees compensation and benefits, assess business and employees needs, and propose targeted programs to enhance performance, organizational trust, and employee satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of solid experience in compensation and benefits, HR practices, and compensation cycle management (annual bonus, annual increment, budget exercises).
Responsibilities
- Compensation & Benefits Strategy: Use various methods and data-driven insights to make informed decisions on direct financial, indirect financial, and non-financial compensation.
- Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure all compensation practices align with internal pay equity policies and local regulations. Draft and recommend revisions to company leave policies to maintain compliance with legal requirements.
- Annual Salary & Bonus Review: Oversee the end-to-end annual salary review and bonus process, collaborating with Business Line leaders to ensure proposals align with the approved budget.
- Manpower Budgeting: Lead the annual manpower budget exercise in partnership with Finance, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Market Research & Benchmarking: Participate in salary and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits. Conduct ongoing research on emerging trends, issues, and best practices.
- Employee Engagement & Insights: Assess employee needs through pulse surveys to understand key motivators and engagement drivers. Analyze medical benefits and insurance trends to develop competitive proposals for annual renewals and forward-looking benefits.
- HRIS & Benefits Administration: Maintain the leave module in the HRIS system and manage the full spectrum of benefits programs, including medical insurance and dental claims.
- Job Evaluation & Classification: Prepare job descriptions, job analyses, and job classifications for internal and external salary benchmarking purposes.
- Reporting & Audits: Conduct periodic audits, prepare ad-hoc data reports, and analyze employment trends such as salary expectations for the upcoming year.
- Communication & Implementation: Deploy effective communication strategies and success metrics for compensation and benefits initiatives.
- Other Responsibilities: Support HR business partnering and undertake any additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirement:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years of solid compensation and benefits experience, supporting different stakeholders in established MNCs or local international companies with at least 500 headcounts
- C&B experience in blue collar workforce will be a huge advantage.
- Proven solid experience in HR practices, compensation cycle management (annual bonus, annual increment, budget exercises).
- Adequate knowledge of current labour law and regulations.
- Knowledge of leading practices and trends in Total Rewards including compensation, benefits, rewards and HR systems.
- Proficient in HRIS system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
