We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, C&B, for one of our shipping clients. Reporting to the HR Director, he/she will manage the HR Services/Operations, develop and implement a total rewards strategy and other C&B programs that closely support the goals of the organization. The ideal candidate would have at least 8 years' experience in Compensation & Benefits and HR Services with 5 years in supervisory role.

Responsibilities:

Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage the annual performance appraisal exercise.
  • Manage and review the rewards framework, covering yearly salary review and performance bonus exercise and job grade/salary structure review.
  • Manage and participate in various data surveys, including market-based compensation and other legislated surveys and ensuring compensation is externally competitive.
  • Manage staff cost budgeting and forecasting.
  • Review and develop compensation and benefits policies and processes.
  • Manage existing HRMS, self-service portals and performance management system.
  • Work with services team to roll out benefit programs such as renewal of group insurance, health management programs and award programs, etc.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on all matters relating to promotion, pay adjustments and benefits.
  • Provide secretariat support for Board- HR Committee meetings.

HR Services

  • Oversee and manage a team in the execution of employee life cycle, payroll processing, claims processing, onboarding / offboarding administration / documentations, maintaining of employee p-files.
  • Manage and coordinate all audit requirements and follow up on closure of audit gaps.
  • Oversee all system migration, updates, and system additions in partnership with information technology (IT) department.
  • Ensuring quality service to internal HR colleagues and other internal customers.
  • Work alongside the IT department to perform regular assessments and improvements to the HRIS.
  • Ensure all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws and IT policies.
  • Ensure data integrity in systems through checks and validation.
  • Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Ensure data in HRIS is updated accurately through sampling check and on time.
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the various HR Information Systems.
  • Assign access rights according to job functions of HR personnel.
  • Perform monthly audit review and checks to ensure appropriate access of HR personnel.
  • Tap on system features to automate or digitalise processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Having IHRP-SP certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits and HR Services with 5 years in supervisory role.
  • Advance level in Ms Excel.
  • Is meticulous, hands-on and have good analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand high level business directions and operational considerations.
  • Is Independent & resourceful.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
