We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Vessel Manager (Dry Bulk) for one of our global shipping clients. He/She will oversee the safe, reliable and cost-effective technical management of assigned dry bulk vessels including PMS, repairs, dry-dock planning/execution, budgeting and statutory/class compliance. The ideal candidate would have a Chief/Second Engineer background on bulk carriers, proven shore-based superintendent experience, and strong exposure to hatch covers, cranes/grabs, and RightShip/PSC readiness.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day technical operations for assigned bulkers: PMS, breakdowns and defect closure.

Plan and execute dockings/major repairs: scope/specs, yard tendering, supervision, close-out.

Own annual OPEX budgets; track variance and drive spares/consumables optimisation.

Ensure survey planning, class/statutory certification and audit readiness (RightShip/PSC).

Maintain cargo gear, cranes and grabs; manage hatch cover integrity and hold maintenance/cleaning.

Drive HSEQ culture; conduct incident investigations (RCA) and implement CAPA.

Monitor performance (fuel, hull, machinery) and support EEXI/CII actions.

Provide after-hours technical support on rotation; report KPIs to management.
Requirements

MEO Class 1 (preferred) or Class 2 CoC; Degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering advantageous.

Sea-going dry bulk experience up to C/E or 2/E and at least 1-2 years as a shore-based Vessel Manager/ Technical Superintendent.

Solid hands-on docking/repair experience; PMS/CMMS and class portal proficiency.

Working knowledge of RightShip inspections and cargo-gear certification.

Clear communicator with strong vendor management and reporting skills.

Able to be based in Singapore.
