About the job Senior Manager, C&B
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits for a well-established global corporate conglomerate. This pivotal role will lead the development and execution of compensation and benefits strategies that align with the Groups objectives and drive organizational success. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of C&B practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex projects in a large organization. The ideal candidate would have at least 10 years of relevant experience, including hands-on experience in executive compensation and benefits administration.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Development & Alignment:
- Assist in designing and implementing a competitive, equitable, and comprehensive total compensation and benefits structure that aligns with the Groups business goals and growth strategies.
- Assist in developing company's compensation and benefits philosophy, ensuring C&B practices comply with legal regulations and align with industry best practices.
- Contribute towards harmonising HR policies, processes and systems.
- Partner with HRBPs and business Managers to facilitate performance review cycles, goal setting, and calibration processes.
- Compensation & Benefits Management:
- Monitor compensation trends, conducting benchmarking market surveys to ensure the company remains competitive to attract and retain talent
- Oversee the administration of various compensation activities, including bonus calculations, salary reviews, annual budgeting, recognition program, sales incentive plans, job structures and international assignment benefits.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs (insurance, wellness, retirement), including vendor management and renewals
- Participate in the management of long-term incentive plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and employee performance. Partner with external consultants to manage executive compensation and Board-level reporting
- Document, communicate, and maintain all compensation and benefits policies and procedures.
- Contribute to regional and global C&B initiatives and projects as assigned
- Participate and support negotiations with labour unions regarding compensation and benefits packages.
- Budgeting & Reporting:
- Prepare and manage the yearly staff cost budget exercise which includes analysing and presenting variances and narrative.
- Conduct detailed analysis and modelling to support business cases, scenario planning, and cost projections
- Provide consultative guidance to business partners and line managers on all C&B-related matters.
- Support reward-related compliance, including audits, regulatory reporting, and governance frameworks
- Organise reporting and communication required to support internal and external audit, Board Remuneration Committee meetings
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Being GRP certified will be advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years experience in Compensation & Benefits, including hands-on experience in executive compensation and benefits administration.
- Proven ability to develop and execute C&B strategies in alignment with business goals.
- Familiarity with various compensation and benefit schemes, and incentive programs; and knowledge of global mobility processes.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including data analysis and dashboarding experience with HRIS and survey tools (e.g., Mercer, Korn Ferry, Willis Towers Watson)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and modelling skills will be advantageous.
- Experience with HRIS systems like SAP Success Factors, exposure to SuccessFactors Performance Management and Compensation modules would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of labour laws and regulations in various countries such as Singapore, China, UK and Australia.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
