We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Communications for one of our international shipping client. The incumbent will be part of the communications and branding team, responsible for external and internal communications, media relations, social media engagement, and corporate publications. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of working experience in a Global MNC, with excellent copywriting and copyediting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in crafting and delivering corporate communications for the company and its affiliates, ensuring that content and visuals are timely, pertinent, and captivating.
  • Contribute to the development and drafting of the Group's annual Sustainability Report and its bi-annual publication, World Horizon.
  • Aid in managing press releases and addressing media inquiries.
  • Collaborate on maritime crisis communications under the guidance of the Head of Communications and an external agency partner.
  • Devise and implement digital communication campaigns aimed at engaging both internal and external stakeholders, thereby bolstering the company's online presence, particularly on platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Supervise social media platforms and maintain the company website.
  • Strategize and draft internal communications to keep employees abreast of company news, milestones, and initiatives.
  • Provide assistance for company events, industry forums, and exhibitions, including photography and video preparation.
  • Manage the company's creative resources and media library.
  • Cultivate relationships with external service providers such as web agencies and design partners.
  • Maintain distribution lists, process purchase orders, and handle third-party invoices.
  • Ensure coherence in messaging and branding across all print and online communication channels.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years working in corporate communications (preferably a global organisation)
  • Ability to adapt and design content for internal/external audiences and channels, breaking down complex topics into clear, compelling, easy-to-understand content.
  • Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills
  • Experience in managing digital communications/social media e.g. LinkedIn
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, communication tools and media monitoring tools.
  • Good eye for design. Proficient with content creation and photo editing tools e.g. Canva.
