About the job Social Compliance Auditor
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Social Compliance Auditor to join a leading and established MNC. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, leading and executing social compliance audits across various industries in accordance with international standards, client requirements and regulatory guidelines.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of social compliance auditing experience, hold an APSCA certification (CSCA preferred), and possess strong knowledge of labour laws, ethical sourcing standards and social compliance frameworks. This role requires frequent travel and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
Social Compliance Audits
- Plan, lead and execute social compliance audits in accordance with client requirements, international standards and company procedures.
- Conduct audits professionally while ensuring compliance with clients' codes of conduct and regulatory requirements.
- Perform opening and closing meetings with factory management and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive audit plans and ensure audits are completed efficiently while meeting quality standards.
- Assess compliance with labour practices, workplace health and safety, ethical standards and relevant social compliance requirements.
- Escalate critical findings that may impact clients' business operations or reputation.
Audit Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare accurate, objective and timely audit reports.
- Maintain complete audit documentation and ensure proper record keeping and traceability.
- Develop and update audit checklists in accordance with changing regulations, client requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure all audit activities comply with company quality procedures and documentation requirements.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and guide audit teams during field assessments.
- Allocate audit responsibilities based on team members' expertise and strengths.
- Mentor and train junior auditors to improve technical competency and audit quality.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Audit Department.
- Perform other audit-related duties as assigned by the Audit Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience conducting Social Compliance Audits.
- APSCA certification is required (CSCA certification preferred).
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, social compliance standards and ethical auditing practices.
- Experience leading audit teams and mentoring junior auditors will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, report writing and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple audits.
- High level of integrity with strict adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Additional local language proficiency will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work independently.
