About the job Executive, Marine HR - Payroll
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Marine HR Executive (Payroll) for a global shipping client. The role manages daily Crew Accounts operations, ensuring accurate and timely crew payments. Reporting to the Marine HR Manager, responsibilities include handling vessel queries, crew allotments, portage bills, cash reports, radio accounts, crew pensions, and tracking costs for field staff and newbuilding projects. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of relevant shipping experience, is meticulous, and can meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process monthly ship accounts and generate monthly portage bills for assigned vessels.
- Verify allotment bank details and process monthly allotments.
- Assist with Cash to Master arrangements and conduct Masters briefings on ship account reporting.
- Maintain and update department records, including the Records Matrix and OJT plans when changes occur.
- Prepare monthly reports, including Victualling & Slopchest and Port Representation reports for review.
- Handle administration of special allotments and process radio invoices, including journal entries and payments.
- Manage crew pension matters, including claims, payments, and journal entries for pension redemption.
- Prepare journal entries for Field Staff and Newbuilding Site Office staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or a related field.
- 23 years of relevant experience, preferably in the shipping industry.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in spoken and written English.
- A team player who is hands-on, meticulous, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion is an advantage.
