Role Overview:
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales within the North Rhine-Westphalia territory for an extensive portfolio of life science microscopy products. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to connect with a diverse range of customers, including researchers, scientists, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in scientific or technical sales and be comfortable managing customer relationships independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed targets within the assigned territory.
- Identify and engage with potential clients across hospitals, research institutions, and laboratories.
- Present and demonstrate the portfolio of life science microscopy solutions, tailoring presentations to meet the specific needs of each customer.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure clients have a comprehensive understanding of product applications and capabilities.
- Attend relevant industry events to maintain knowledge of the microscopy and life sciences markets and identify new business opportunities.
- Stay informed on competitor products and market positioning.
- Plan and manage your daily activities and client visits autonomously, with a focus on achieving results and building relationships rather than meeting rigid KPI targets.
Key Requirements:
- Technical Knowledge: Background in life sciences, biology, chemistry, or engineering, with experience in microscopy, imaging solutions, or similar technical products. A PhD or lab experience is beneficial but not required.
- Sales Experience: Proven track record in technical or scientific sales, ideally with experience selling to research institutions or healthcare providers.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect and communicate effectively with scientific clients, including researchers and medical professionals.
- Autonomy: Comfortable managing your own schedule and working independently to achieve sales targets.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory.
