Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented CAT Modeler to support catastrophe modeling operations and underwriting analysis. This role will focus on managing day-to-day modeling requests, ensuring data accuracy in binding processes, handling event response modeling, and supporting reporting and relationship management with vendors like AIR/Verisk.
Key Responsibilities:

Mailbox Management: Monitor and triage the modeling team mailbox; prioritize and respond to requests in a timely manner.

Rush Requests: Execute high-priority CAT modeling requests with urgency and accuracy.

Modeling Support: Perform re-models, apply layer changes, and support underwriting during account structuring.

Underwriting Support: Answer underwriting queries related to catastrophe risk and modeled results.

Binding Process: Bind modeled accounts ; ensure binder terms are accurately reflected and appropriate reinsurance is applied.

Event Modeling: Run hurricane and other catastrophe event scenarios as needed.

Quarterly Reporting: Support quarterly portfolio roll-up and exposure reporting processes.

Vendor Management: Manage workflows, documentation, and maintain a strong relationship with modeling vendors.
Qualifications:

Prior experience with catastrophe modeling platforms

Familiarity with reinsurance structures, underwriting processes, and property exposure data.

Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data tools is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
