Senior Data Analyst
We are partnering with an innovative Canada-based online sportsbook and casino to appoint a commercially focused Data Analyst. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, this role sits at the heart of strategic decision-making, transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive product performance, marketing effectiveness, and player engagement.

What You Will Do
As a Data Analyst, you will lead high-impact analytical initiatives and champion data-driven decision-making across the business.
Key responsibilities include:

Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into structured analytical solutions

Apply advanced statistical methods, A/B testing, and experimental design to inform strategic decisions

Analyse player behaviour, segmentation, lifecycle performance, retention, and bonus campaign effectiveness

Write and optimise complex SQL queries to extract and structure data

Use Python (and ideally PySpark) to clean, transform, and analyse large datasets

Design scalable dashboards and reporting frameworks in Power BI

Define and track core business metrics and performance KPIs

Communicate clear, strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders

Mentor junior analysts and contribute to technical best practices
All About You
We are seeking a commercially minded Data Analyst with strong technical expertise and experience in marketing or player analytics.
You will bring:

5+ years experience in data analytics, ideally within online gaming, sportsbook, or digital consumer sectors

Strong hands-on experience in marketing analytics, campaign performance analysis, segmentation, and lifecycle modelling

Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python (PySpark preferred)

Experience designing dashboards in Power BI or equivalent BI tools

Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks

Experience with predictive modelling, experimentation, and statistical analysis

Strong project ownership and the ability to manage multiple analytical initiatives

Excellent communication and storytelling skills for non-technical audiences
A Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science is preferred.
