Your Key Job Responsibilities as Head of Operations will include:
Drive Strategy Into Execution
- Shape and implement operational strategies that directly support commercial growth, scalability, and market expansion
- Lead operational readiness for new product launches, promotions, and strategic campaigns
- Partner with executive leadership to translate strategic vision into measurable operational performance
Own Operational Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end operational performance of online platforms, ensuring uptime, security, reliability, and seamless service delivery
- Establish and drive KPI frameworks that deliver measurable improvements in productivity, efficiency, and cost optimisation
- Identify transformation opportunities that elevate operational maturity and competitive advantage
Elevate the Customer Experience
- Work closely with Customer Experience, CRM, and Product teams to deliver a frictionless player journey
- Leverage behavioural insights, operational data, and customer feedback to continuously refine the user experience
- Ensure customer support operations operate at world-class service standards
Lead Technology & Platform Performance
- Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to ensure platform stability, scalability, and continuous innovation
- Oversee integrations with payment providers, third-party platforms, and operational systems
- Maintain rigorous standards across cybersecurity, data protection, and system integrity
Strengthen Compliance & Risk Governance
- Ensure operational compliance across all regulatory frameworks and industry requirements
- Oversee AML/KYC operations, responsible gaming protocols, and operational risk management
- Lead operational risk assessments and implement proactive mitigation strategies
Build High-Performance Teams
- Lead, mentor, and scale cross-functional operational teams
- Set clear performance objectives, create leadership pipelines, and drive capability development
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and operational excellence

Requirements for this Head of Operations role:
- 8–10+ years experience in operations leadership roles within iGaming, sports betting, or highly regulated digital industries
- Proven experience operating across African markets (3–5+ years preferred)
- Strong expertise in online platforms, operational systems, and data-led decision making
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-functional operational teams in high-growth environments
- Deep understanding of compliance, risk, and regulatory-driven operations
