Network Security Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Consultant to help design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions that protect our organizations IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide expert guidance to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess current network security posture and identify vulnerabilities, risks, and threats.

• Design and implement security architectures for networks, systems, and data.

• Develop, deploy, and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and other security measures.

• Conduct regular security audits, penetration tests, and risk assessments.

• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Respond to security breaches and provide incident response support.

• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and mitigate potential threats.

• Advise on secure network design and configuration for new projects.

• Provide security awareness training and guidance to IT staff and end-users.

• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven experience as a Network Security Consultant, Security Engineer, or similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and security monitoring tools.

• Strong understanding of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, or GDPR.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCNP Security.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
