Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Consultant to advise clients on cloud strategy, architecture, and implementation. The role involves assessing business needs, designing tailored cloud solutions, and guiding clients through cloud migration and optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and excellent communication skills to bridge technical solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to understand business requirements, IT landscape, and cloud adoption goals.

  • Assess existing infrastructure and applications to create cloud readiness and migration plans.

  • Design and recommend cloud strategies, architectures, and operating models aligned with business needs.

  • Provide expert advice on cloud adoption frameworks, cost optimization, and governance models.

  • Guide clients in choosing the right cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services.

  • Support cloud migration projects, including re-hosting, re-platforming, and re-architecting applications.

  • Ensure security, compliance, and risk management are embedded in all cloud solutions.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement proof-of-concepts, pilots, and enterprise-scale solutions.

  • Deliver presentations, workshops, and training sessions for client stakeholders.

  • Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to provide innovative recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Masters preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in IT consulting, cloud engineering, or solution architecture.

  • Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), with working knowledge of others.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud migration, infrastructure design, and application modernization.

  • Knowledge of cloud economics and cost optimization strategies.

  • Understanding of cloud security frameworks, compliance standards, and governance models.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.

Preferred Skills

  • Cloud certifications such as:

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional

    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

    • Google Professional Cloud Architect

  • Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, Agile methodologies, and automation tools.

  • Previous experience working in a consulting firm or professional services environment.
