Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automation Tester to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts that ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our software applications. The Automation Tester will work closely with QA engineers, developers, and product managers to build robust automated testing frameworks, reduce manual testing efforts, and accelerate the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to develop automated test strategies.

  • Design, script, and maintain automated test cases using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

  • Build and manage test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).

  • Execute automated regression and smoke tests to validate builds and deployments.

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure testability of new features and provide early feedback.

  • Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work with engineering teams to resolve defects.

  • Track and document results in test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new automation tools and frameworks to improve efficiency.

  • Contribute to establishing QA best practices, standards, and processes across the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in software testing, with at least 12 years in automation testing.

  • Strong knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).

  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Familiarity with API automation testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI).

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.

  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).

  • Exposure to security testing basics.

  • ISTQB Test Automation Engineer or similar certification.

  • Experience in testing microservices and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
