Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products before release. The Software Tester will be responsible for executing manual and automated tests, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers and product teams to resolve issues. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback.

  • Develop, document, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to validate and resolve issues.

  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure software meets business and technical requirements.

  • Conduct compatibility testing across browsers, devices, and operating systems.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing input on test planning and estimation.

  • Ensure adherence to QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in software testing (manual or automation).

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).

  • Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM, etc.).

  • Understanding of defect life cycle and bug reporting standards.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).

  • Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI).

  • Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Jenkins).

  • ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.
