Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security controls across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). The role focuses on ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-hosted applications, infrastructure, and data. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud security frameworks, automation, threat detection, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud security architectures in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

  • Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM), role-based access controls, and multi-factor authentication.

  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud environments.

  • Implement encryption, key management, and secrets management (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault).

  • Monitor and respond to security alerts using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and cloud-native monitoring tools.

  • Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing for cloud workloads.

  • Automate security controls using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, NIST).

  • Work with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).

  • Investigate and respond to cloud security incidents, breaches, and audits.

  • Stay updated with the latest cloud security threats, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, or cloud engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security services (AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center).

  • Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

  • Understanding of network security concepts (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust).

  • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, QRadar, Sentinel).

  • Familiarity with container and Kubernetes security (EKS, AKS, GKE, Istio).

  • Excellent problem-solving and incident response skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Security certifications such as:

    • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

    • AWS Certified Security Specialty

    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

    • GIAC Cloud Security Engineer (GCLD)

    • CISSP, CISM, or CEH

  • Experience with Zero Trust, SASE, and CASB solutions.

  • Knowledge of security automation and orchestration (SOAR).

  • Hands-on experience with forensics and incident response in cloud environments.
