Senior BI Analyst

We are looking for a business intelligence all-star who is passionate about numbers, works well with teams, is curious, highly analytical, can tell stories from data, and is creative in problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for analysis insight to inform decision-making

• Drive strategic growth analysis and provide recommendations for data requests

• Self-manage delivery of analytical projects

• Defining the business problem

• Determining the analytical approach

• Efficiently extract relevant data

• Appropriately use statistical and data analysis techniques

• Sharing your findings using impactful data visualizations and efficient communication

• Balance multiple priorities, updating stakeholders on progress and expected delivery

• Provide for ad-hoc requests to provide data support

• Work on data preparation and build/assist in data models

• Create framework for data governance and compliance

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in computer sciences, engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science, economics, finance, or a related degree program with outstanding academic results

• 6-10 years experience in data analytics / engineering

• Able to comprehend and construct SQL for data queries and manipulation

• Python proficiency required: able to extract data from web and familiar with python libraries such as selenium, pandas, numpy, scikit-learn etc.

• Expert Excel user: familiar with excel functions & power query

• Skills in microservices/API development and continuous delivery

• Skills in cloud platform including Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform

• Skills in BigQuery, DataFlow would be added advantage

• Strong experience in Data Visualization tools, preferable in power BI

• Able to perform DAX functions in power BI

• Machine Learning technologies are a plus
