Base Pay/Salary: $90 on W2 OR $170K Per Annum (Innover's rate from clients is around $120 Per hour)
Job Description:
As an AWS Java Application Development Manager/Lead, you will play a critical role in leading a team of skilled Java developers to design, develop, and deploy applications on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform. You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of the team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and driving continuous improvement in development processes. Your expertise in Java development and AWS services will be instrumental in building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that meet business requirements.
· Requirements:
- · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- · Proven experience (10+ years) in Java application development, including hands-on coding and architectural design.
- · Strong expertise in AWS services, particularly in designing and deploying applications using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.
- · Previous experience in a technical leadership or management role, leading a team of developers.
- · Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools.
- · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.\
- · Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
- · AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- · Technical Leadership:
- · Provide technical leadership to a team of Java developers, guiding them in design, architecture, and implementation decisions.
- · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and best practices to ensure optimal application design and deployment.
- · Application Development:
- · Lead the design and development of Java-based applications on the AWS platform.
- · Write well-designed, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
- · Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and debugging processes.
- · Cloud Architecture:
- · Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure AWS architectures for applications.
- · Choose appropriate AWS services to meet application requirements while optimizing cost and performance.
- · Team Management:
- · Mentor, coach, and develop team members to enhance their technical skills and contribute effectively to project goals.
- · Manage performance evaluations, goal setting, and professional development plans for team members.
- · Project Delivery:
- · Plan and manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- · Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when necessary.
- · Collaboration:
- · Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and other teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- · Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- · Documentation:
- · Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and coding standards.
- · Process Improvement:
- · Identify opportunities for process improvements in development, deployment, and monitoring practices.
- · Implement best practices for continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automation.
