Services industry as they seek to appoint a full-time permanent Fund Accountant who has a specialised focus on real Estate to join their team. The Successful Candidate will join our dynamic team and will be responsible for the planning and preparation of financial reports for a portfolio of funds. They will ensure that reporting deadlines are met and that client accounting requirements comply with Ocorians contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial statements for real estate investment funds

  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and financial regulations.

  • Analyse the financial performance and risks associated with green energy investments.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fund transactions and investments.

  • Manage investor relations, addressing queries and concerns efficiently.

  • Oversee fund administration processes, including investor onboarding, redemptions, and reporting.

  • Assess risks and returns associated with green energy assets.

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws related to real estate investment funds and renewable energy projects.

  • Prepare and submit accurate tax returns, and manage tax audits.

  • Stay informed of changes in regulatory frameworks affecting real estate investment funds and green energy initiatives.

  • Assist in the valuation of real estate assets and green energy projects.

  • Provide valuation reports to support financial reporting and investment decision-making

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years post qualified experience

  • Solid and pragmatic accounting skills and technical accounting knowledge

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills including managing expectations which will include determining that which is important versus that which is urgent

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong IT skills

  • The ability, desire and clarity of thought to further define and develop the scope of the role
