As a result of sustained growth, they are seeking to appoint an experienced, Fully Qualified Management Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) to join their finance team in Lisburn on a full-time permanent basis.
The Role
The successful applicant will join a multi-award-winning organisation that has been operational for over 50 years. They are highly respected as a leader in its industry, our client has ambitious plans to integrate financial systems and scale further across Europe over the next 5 years, offering significant long-term career progression and internal development opportunities.
This position requires a fully qualified finance professional with excellent communication and organisational skills who enjoys looking beyond standard financial reporting to optimise internal controls, improve processes, and drive commercial value. Working in a fast-paced environment and reporting directly to the Regional Finance Director, this is a hands-on role where you will play a central role in delivering accurate management accounts while helping build a modern, scalable finance function.
Full preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end management accounts, including journal entries and balance sheet specifications.
Delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, variance analysis, and insightful commercial analysis for executive leadership.
Leading Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Cash close, maintaining tight deadlines around month-end compliance.
Managing inter-company reconciliations, reviewing suspense accounts, and maintaining clear audit trails across a multi-entity group.
Completion and reconciliation of UK and ROI VAT returns (strong UK & Ireland accounting standards knowledge).
Partnering with operational sites to understand commercial drivers, identify opportunities for financial automation, and enhance overall process efficiency.
The Person
To be considered for this Fully Qualified Management Accountant role, applicants must demonstrate the following skills, qualifications, and experience:
Professional Qualification: Fully qualified accountant status (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent recognised accountancy qualification).
Commercial Experience: 2–5 years of experience working in a commercial accounting position, undertaking management accountant duties.
Systems & Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of enterprise ERP systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and the broader MS Office suite.
Financial Acumen: Proven analytical, administration, and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and multi-entity accounting experience.
Proactive Mindset: A hands-on approach with a curiosity for process improvement, workflow automation, and collaborative problem-solving.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional team and report to executive leadership.
