Background & Purpose
The IT Business Analyst will support the discovery, development and delivery of an IT product within an ecosystem of interconnected products. The role focuses on bridging business problems and technical solutions, ensuring needs are identified, well-defined, understood, and implemented effectively in an Agile environment.
Main Tasks
Identify and translate business needs into user stories and other deliverables tailored for business and technical stakeholders.
Assist in the design and execution of brainstorming sessions, business owners and end user interviews, surveys and other requirement elicitation and validation methods.
Break down and sequence large chunks of work into epics and user stories.
Capture, evaluate, and document business processes in detail, ensuring clarity and readability for business users and technical team members.
Write comprehensive and SMART user stories with clear acceptance criteria, including behavior driven development scenarios described in Gherkin syntax.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, product owner, and development teams.
Create product documentation suitable for business and end users.
Perform functional testing of developed stories to validate their completeness
before product owner validation.
Facilitate demo sessions and other user acceptance testing activities with product owner and end users.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with business objectives.
Support backlog grooming and sprint planning activities.
Identify and escalate risks or issues impacting delivery.

Qualifications
Proven minimum of 3-year experience as a Business Analyst in Agile projects.
Strong understanding of business process modeling and requirements analysis.
Experience with SMART user stories, including behavior-driven development scenarios described in Gherkin syntax.
Ability to write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
Experience with SQL for data analysis and validation.
Knowledge of APIs and cloud native apps from a technical user standpoint is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) are a plus but not mandatory.
Fluency in English or Spanish required; proficiency in both preferred.
