SAP MM/Procurement Functional Consultant
About the job SAP MM/Procurement Functional Consultant
We are looking for SAP MM/Procurement functional consultant with at least 5 years of experience in S/4HANA not ECC experience alone whose core strength is the requisition-to-invoice flow: purchase requisitions, limit and blanket purchase orders, invoicing plans, and invoice creation against purchase orders.
The consultant joins our internal Sourcing to Pay team, supporting a live S/4HANA landscape and delivering change requests raised by the business.
The work is hands-on configuration and issue resolution. Our landscape includes custom developments around the standard procurement flow, so the consultant works closely with our ABAP developers and must be comfortable owning that side of the work as well.
What you will own:
- Purchase requisitions: Document types, item categories, account assignment categories, field selection, source determination and conversion to purchase order.
- Limit and blanket purchase orders: Overall and expected value limits, validity periods, account assignment, and the controls that stop overspend.
- Invoicing plans: Periodic and partial plans, plus running and supporting automatic settlement.
- Invoice creation against purchase orders: Goods-receipt-based verification, tolerances, blocks and release, delivery costs, credit memos and subsequent debits.
- Approval WF: Flexible workflow and classic release strategies for requisitions and purchase orders, including agent determination.
- Incident analysis across the chain: Trace a failure through requisition, purchase order and invoice, and say which document or setting caused it.
- Testing and go-live support: Test scripts, execution, UAT, cutover and hypercare.
- Documentation: Configuration and process documentation the internal team can work from.
Desirable:
- Ariba: Integration with SAP Ariba and Sourcing or Contract Management.
- Outline agreements: Contracts and scheduling agreements, release orders, value and quantity limits at contract level, and how a contract interacts with a limit item.
