IT Cloud Automation Consultant

Background

The Information Technology Department (ITE) is looking for a professional with a strong background in Cloud computing technology, Full Stack Engineer, and automation at large. The department is well underway in its Cloud technology adoption and crafting and implementing new solutions using Cloud-native components and platforms. All of these requires an engineer with a deep understanding and practical knowledge of key Cloud concepts methods, and tools to design, build and maintain properly the required business solutions the bank requires for achieving its mission.

What youll do:

· Design and implement automated solutions for cloud PaaS deployment, configuration, and management.

· Collaborate with software development teams to ensure code is deployable.

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends related to Cloud and DevOps

· Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software products.

· Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers with the use of terraform modules.

· Continuously improve the cloud infrastructure and delivery processes.

· Identify and troubleshoot issues related to terraform modules, infrastructure, deployment, and configuration.

· Automate security and compliance checks.

· Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud platform, deployment, and processes.

Deliverables

· 20 % Deliverable 1 - Design and implementation plan for the Terraform Testing Framework.

· 20 % Deliverable 2 - Initial testing and validation of Terraform modules.

· 30 % Deliverable 3 - Update the core Terraform modules.

· 15% Deliverable 4 - Report on test results and improvement recommendations.

· 15% Deliverable 5 - Implementation of improvements and adjustments to Terraform modules.

· 10% Deliverable 6 - Documentation of processes, procedures, and user manuals.

Education:

· Bachelors degree (or equivalent degree) from an accredited university in Information Technology or another relevant field desirable

· Microsoft, AWS, DevOps Certifications desirable

Experience:

· Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.

· Working knowledge on Terraform

· Knowledge of automation tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker and scripting languages (PowerShell, az/aws cli, python).

· A technical mindset with great attention to detail

· Ability to work in an international team across hierarchical levels.

· Designing automation framework to support multiple cloud environments.

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

· Identifying opportunities for automation.
