SAP BW/ ABAP Developer

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled SAP BW / ABAP Programmer to help us reverse engineer our existing business logic into underlying CDS Views within our S/4HANA environment. The selected candidate will play a key role in enabling seamless integration with Informatica, ensuring that the data flows accurately from the source tables in S/4HANA.

This is a hands-on technical role that requires strong experience with ABAP development, SAP BW data models, and Core Data Services (CDS) views.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reverse engineer existing SAP BW logic and extract transformations into CDS Views.

• Design, build, and optimize CDS Views to replicate business logic and data structures.

• Collaborate with functional and data integration teams to align CDS design with business requirements.

• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and performance across CDS Views and source tables.

• Support the integration process with Informatica, providing technical guidance and validation.

• Analyze existing ABAP code, perform debugging, and optimize data retrieval logic when necessary.

• Document development processes, data mappings, and design decisions.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an SAP BW / ABAP Developer.

• Hands-on experience with CDS Views development in SAP S/4HANA.

• Strong understanding of SAP data models, ETL logic, and data extraction processes.

• Experience working with Informatica or other data integration tools.

• Solid knowledge of SQL, ABAP programming, and performance optimization.

• Ability to analyze complex data flows and translate them into technical specifications.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• English proficiency (written and spoken).
