PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To administer the physical and functional work capacity tests and perform administrative, stock control and housekeeping functions related to the physical and functional work capacity tests.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 or NQF equivalent 4 is essential.
- RFA Training is essential.
- First Aid Training is essential.
- 1-2 Years' experience as an Admin Clerk is essential.
- 1 Year mining underground experience is essential.
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrates good commutation skills, interpersonal skills and meticulousness (attention to detail).
- Demonstrates knowledge in RFA Database and First Aid.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Inducts clients on the test procedure.
- Checks and records the temperature of the testing chamber against the set standard, and reports discrepancies to the Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Takes client's temperature, heart rate and weights before the test, records the result and refers exceptions or discrepancies to the OT.
- Monitors the test by ensuring that the duration and the tempo is correct and terminates the test when any discrepancies are detected during the physical and function work capacity testing.
- Records the test results on a prescribed format forward it to the relevant individual according to the departmental procedure.
- Registers clients on the Rehabilitation and Functional Assessment (RFA) database system and records the results as per the departmental procedure.
- Performs daily and monthly risk assessments on test equipment and elements.
- Maintains test equipment by performing minor maintenance and reports any other discrepancies to the maintenance department.
- Disinfects the testing chamber and equipment after a run according to the set standards.
- Does general cleaning and ensures that test clothes are laundered.
- Maintains and monitors necessary stock as per departmental procedure and reports any discrepancies to the OT.
