About the job Human Resources Development Manager
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To lead and manage the HRD function. Ensure the effective implementation of policies and systems aligned to the organizational strategic imperatives and relevant legal requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade12 or NQF 4 Equivalent
- Diploma/Degree/Postgraduate qualification in HR/HRD or related field is essential
- Mine Overseer certificate is essential
- 5 years relevant training experience in Management (HR/HRD) with mining operations

- Relevant Legislation (Mining Charter, Skills Development, MHSA, BBBEE)
- Company policies, HRD strategy and procedures
- Company HRD strategy
- MQA Accreditation requirements
- Education, Training and Development methodologies
- General HR and OD knowledge
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (Mining Charter, Skills Development, MHSA, BBBEE)
- Knowledge in change management, leadership & supervisory development
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Aligns HRD with the organizational strategic objectives to ensure that the Business Plan imperatives are achieved.
- Ensures legislative compliance as per relevant legislation e.g. MHSA.
- Ensures the delivery of quality and effective training in so doing maintain HRD accreditation and certification.
- Ensures Impala's' business plan imperatives are carried out as per plan and SLP targets set out in Section 2 of the MPRDA.
- Analyses and assesses training effectiveness to determine when revision and enhancements of processes should occur.
- Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance.
- Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety.
- Performs regular inspections in area of work and report hazards to ensure environment is safety and hazard free and recommends remedial action where necessary.
