PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To manage core HR Information Department and all related systems to maximize effectiveness of business operations, ensuring data integrity through monitoring processes, developing standard reports and analytics, recommending and instituting improvements, and evaluating and implementing solutions to meet business requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • HR/Finance Diploma/Degree is essential
  • Computer Science Post Graduate Diploma/Degree is desirable
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the mine environment (HR/Finance) of which 5 is within the HRIS department is essential
  • A valid medical certificate or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

The successful candidate is responsible to:

  • Ensures that the HRIS Department is run and managed effectively to support the business interests.
  • Responsible for the effective management of the Time & Attendance Department.
  • Ensures effective management of the Organisational Maintenance Department
  • Responsible for consolidating Implats reports on an ad hoc basis.
  • Responsible for the EE/Transformation compliance reports.
  • Design and develop reports utilizing a variety of tools and standards to ensure reuse and maintainability.
  • Develops organization-wide metrics and dashboards to support the business to achieve its goals.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to identify and recommend improvements and enhancements to meet changing needs.
  • To ensure that HR peers are assisted with technical issues related to HR systems by ensuring that the problems are investigated, and relevant solutions are developed
  • Ensures training is provided for HR Users on system processes and procedures, and training on HR systems for managers and supervisors, as required.
  • Effectively and efficiently delivers projects according to scope, working closely with internal IT team and other business analyst to ensure all solutions meet the business requirements
  • Develops cyclical, ad-hoc and senior management reporting through data extraction, manipulations and complex analysis across HR systems.
  • Model trends on numerous information inclusive of attendance data, performance data, training data, turnover and engagement data, and total staffing data.
  • Identifies trends and develop forecasts for numerous HR functions i.e. labour availability and staffing
