PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To provide Skills Development initiatives and continuously improve competency of our workforce in order to satisfy business needs and meet safety & legal requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 (NQF Level 4) / N3 is essential
    • ETD/ HRD Qualification / Certificate relevant to role on NQF level 4 an added advantage
    • Blasting Certificate is essential
    • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Production Supervisor is essential
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in the HRD field is essential
    • Mine Overseer certificate of competency will be an added advantage.
    • Assessor and Moderator s qualification will be an added advantage
    • Computer literacy (MS Office Package) is essential
    • A valid medical Certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Managing the daily workings of the underground training center
    • Managing the assessment and moderation processes
    • Managing of Mining Shift Supervisors training programme
    • Planning, budgeting and managing of underground training section
    • Maintaining quality of training and quality management systems.
    • Record keeping and document control.
    • To interpret, record and report minerals processing data obtained from visual inspections and complete reports and log sheets.
    • To monitor operational data and proactively take action to prevent process deviations.
    • To contribute to team goals, achievements and efficiencies by adhering to agreed working methods
