Converter Slag Granulator

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To safely granulate slag according to the required safe work procedure

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate is essential
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in the converters is essential
• Completion of all converter unit standards including granulation unit standard is essential
• Converter knowledge is essential
• Valid medical certificate is essential and must be fit in order to obtain such a certificate

COMPETENCIES:

• Slag granulation knowledge is essential
• Must be self-driven, highly motivated with good people skills
• Must maintain a high standard of work
• Must have good communication skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To ensure that slag is been granulated safely by safe work procedure
• To timeously ensure completion of the slag granulation process
• To ensure efficient and effective handling of the slag.
• To protect the company assets.
