Job Title: TM3 LHD OPERATOR

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To safely load and transport broken ore in an underground mine.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 10 /NQF Level 2 with LHD license is essential.
• Grade 12 /NQF 4 with LHD license would be an advantage.
• An LHD Operator who have completed 4 - 6 months LHD operator training module is essential.
• RFAC (Rehabilitation Fitness Assessment certificate) and HTS (Heat Tolerance Screening.
• VTS Testing Suitable Grading (Dover).

COMPETENCIES:

• Roadway maintenance and building skills.
• Machine & Tyre appreciation skills
• Must have completed Competent B skills programme.
• Proper loading and Dump truck loading techniques
• Blasting assistant
• Tramming techniques and procedures
• Brake testing procedures
• Decline / Incline parking procedures
• Towing procedures

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Checking Mobile Equipment at start of shift and at end of shift for any defects
• Perfuming proper machine appreciation
• Constructing and maintaining proper roadways
• Executing proper loading and tramming techniques.
• Maintaining proper tyre appreciation.
• Maintaining good housekeeping in the work environment.
• To safely assist in the installation of services and loading a dump truck
• To effectively communicate with the supervisor and engineering personnel
