PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To conduct scheduled and ad-hoc stock counts and to administer fuel stocks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer literacy [MS Office] is essential
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience is essential
- 1 Year exposure to query resolution and expediting and inventory management.
- Knowledge of SAP (PTP) module is essential.
- Knowledge of Procurement Processes
- Knowledge of principles of logistics
- Valid medical certificate is essential and must be fit in order to obtain such a certificate
COMPETENCIES:
- Must have good administrative skills and attention to detail
- Must have good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Must be English literate with good communication skills (on all levels)
- Must be able to work under pressure
- An ability to control and locate stock is essential
- Must be able to count stock for a stock-take
- Must have strong ethical Standards
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- To perform and general administrative duties in support of assigned unit at Main Stores.
- To process documentation and make follow-ups.
- To assist Administrative Supervisors by coordinating internal operations.
- To ensure work is handled on a priority basis and completed in a timely manner.
- To respond to queries and requests for information on regulations, policies and procedures relating to responsibility assigned.
- Senior Clerk Materials Specific duties: To obtain and understand the issue in ability report. To identify and prioritize critical items. Engage with Suppliers to ensure timeous delivery. Be able to identify and escalate critical items to be resolved. Engage with Vendor, Contract and Inventory Management. To compile effective, follow up plan. To identify potential material shortage. To prevent out of stock by frequently expediting and engaging with Suppliers to deliver material on time.
