PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide Skills Development initiatives and continuously improve competency of our workforce in order to satisfy business needs and meet safety & legal requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12/Std 10 (NQF Level 4) is essential.
  • Blasting Certificate / Relevant Trade Certificate is essential.
  • 5 years' experience in trackless Mining environment is essential.
  • Certificate Education: Training and Development will be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office) is essential.
  • Exposure to Mining Qualification Authority will be considered an advantage.
  • Registered Assessor & Moderator is advantageous.
  • Valid Driver's License and own transport is essential.
  • Valid Medical Certificate is essential or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct and attend to all mechanical planned and breakdown maintenance.
  • Attend to all breakdowns, daily inspections, and new installations.
  • Ensure maximum plant availability through proper maintenance.
  • Report abnormalities and adjust mechanical equipment operating outside of normal parameters.
  • Install and maintain mechanical equipment.
  • Adhere to safety and security standards.
  • Perform standby duties and overtime when required.
  • Promote and maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.

  • Skills Development Act is an advantage.
  • Learning Delivery system / Training Processes would be advantageous.
  • MQA & SAQA knowledge is an advantage.
  • Supervisory skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Facilitation & Presentation skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Designing and Developing learning Material for TMM operation
  • Planning and scheduling training interventions
  • Conducting outcomes-based assessment
  • Conducting targeted training and development using given methodologies
  • Conducting skills development administration
  • Maintaining the training quality management and learning delivery system.
  • Creating, maintaining and updating record keeping systems
  • Ensure effective on-the-job training and coaching
