PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To manage core HR Information systems and all associated systems to maximize effectiveness of business operations, ensuring data integrity through monitoring processes, developing standard reports and analytics, recommending and instituting improvements, and evaluating and implementing solutions to meet business requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 Equivalent is essential
  • HR/IT/Finance/Data Science Diploma/Degree is essential
  • HR/IT/Finance/Data Science Honours Degree is advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the mine environment (HR/Finance) of which 3 is within the HRIS department is essential 
  • valid medical certificate or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Designs and develops reports utilising a variety of tools and standards to ensure reuse and maintainability.
  • Develops organisation-wide metrics and dashboards to support HR Managers in support of changing business needs and growth of the organisation.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to identify and recommend improvements and enhancements to meet changing needs.
  • Assists HR staff with technical issues related to HR systems by investigating problems and developing detailed suggestions for resolution of issues.
  • Provides training for HR Users on system processes and procedures, and training on HR systems for managers and supervisors, as required.
  • Effectively and efficiently delivers projects according to scope, working closely with internal BIIS team and other business analysts to ensure all solutions meet the business requirements.
  • Develops cyclical, ad-hoc and senior management reporting through data extraction, manipulations and complex analysis across HR systems.
  • Models trends on numerous information inclusive of attendance data, performance data, training data, turnover and engagement data, and total staffing data
