About the job PMA Officer

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure that asset management is effectively performed and reported with regards to planning, scheduling, monitoring of maintenance compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential
  • A qualification in Engineering/Planning will be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a Planned Maintenance environment is essential.
  • 2 Years PMA Head Clerk experience is essential
  • Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of rotables and equipment repairs.
  • English literate with good communication skills.
  • Must have good administrative and organising skills.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to manage a team of admin personnel
  • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word experience is essential.
  • SAP working experience is essential.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Creates non routine work orders from notifications received.
  • Plan, scope and schedule work in consultation with maintenance supervisors.
  • Facilitates the weekly scheduling meeting.
  • Prints and distributes Planned Maintenance job cards.
  • Capture and report on availabilities of equipment.
  • Report on potential warranty claims.
  • Reporting and follow-up on outstanding services and breakdowns.
  • Collects and captures breakdown information, property damage and theft information.
  • Notifies responsible person of warranty claims issues.
  • Assists with placing orders and creating notifications in SAP.
  • Supports and participates in change management initiatives to drive transformation and optimisation.
  • Provides relevant support to stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance.
