PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To receive and distribute explosive and explosives accessories safely and accurately to and from the licensed delivery bay at accordance with legal requirements including the governance of the Explosive Act (26 of 1956 8.1.1 and chapter 6)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12/STD 10 NQF 4 Equivalent is essential
  • South African Police Service Security Clearence proof is essential
  • Magazine Master Certificate is essential
  • 1-3 months Experience as a shaft helper is essential

  • Equipment and material handling (SWP10.14.03.02)
  • PPE (SWP 03.02)
  • Explosive Relieving and dispatch Procedure
  • Attention detail
  • Basic communication Skills
  • Good Observation Skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Responsible for all required symbolic signs to be displayed.
  • Priorities the availability of old explosive boxes
  • Ensures that enough space is available to load total consignment explosives accessories
  • Ensures compliance regarding the approved delivery schedule
  • Regulates that only one delivery vehicle is at time within the delivery bay
  • Investigate discrepancies and reports of the Explosive officer or co-ordinates
  • Ensure explosive delivery notes are placed into the explosive cars during loading to verify underground delivery
  • Monitor the log sheet for old explosive and accessories are kept up to date and properly filled
  • Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non compliances
