PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To assist the GM and HOD's in administrative tasks, plan and execute the shafts communication plan to employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
  • Secretarial/Office Management/Information Management Qualification is essential.
  • Minimum 3 years administrative experience is essential.
  • Previous work in the PA field within the mining operations is essential.

  • Knowledge of Confidentiality Clause (POPI Act)
  • Knowledge of latest company letter heads & templates
  • Knowledge of organisational communication processes
  • Communication Channels & Media
  • Developing & executing communication plans
  • Design and layout knowledge of communication material Management Skills.
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to communicate and interact with all levels in the organisation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist General Manager and HOD team in daily activities also to coordinate and manage meeting schedules,
  • emails and other general office duties.
  • Safeguards documentation/correspondence between shaft and DMR and implement electronic shared database
  • system.
  • Correctly captures minutes of the GM HOD and reviews meetings.
  • Coordinates SPCP information from different HOD's to generate presentation for the HOD meeting.
  • Advises and participates in the planning, design and execution of communication plans and campaigns in line with
  • shafts operations.
  • Takes ownership and manages the communication channels in respective areas of responsibility (briefs/video/team spirit/production boards/shaft newsletters, photo's).
  • Ensures regular reporting to GM on internal communication and its effectiveness.
  • Assists the GM with compiling high-level presentations and documents.
  • Provides relevant support to stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance.
