PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide Skills Development initiatives in order to ensure policies and procedures are implemented and maintained as per quality and legislative requirements. To maintain core HRD Information systems and all associated systems to maximize effectiveness of HRD functions, ensuring data integrity through monitoring processes, compiling legislative reports and analytics, recommending and instituting improvements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent is essential
  • HR/HRD/IT/Finance Diploma/Degree is essential
  • Registered Assessor and Moderator is desirable
  • At least 4-6 Years' Experience in HR/HRD/IT/Finance is essential
  • Experience I ISO and MQA is essential
  • Relevant exposure within the HRD field in a Mineral Processing is essential
  • 2 Years experience as a registered moderator is desirable

COMPETENCIES:

  • Understanding of legislation compliance within the Mining and Minerals Sector
  • Understanding of HRD legislation (Skills Development Act, National Qualifications Framework)
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Advanced MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • SAP HRD
  • Report Writing skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Conducts quality verification of the HRD learning delivery system across all units and disciplines.
  • Liaises in training and registering all assessor, moderators and facilitators.
  • Ensures verified data integration between Impala and MQA information system.
  • Compiles relevant HRD reports (Ad-hoc, Month-end, Training /Assessment/Moderation/ Evaluation Reports).
  • Maintains the training Quality Management and Learning Delivery Systems Ensure MQA learner records and achievements are maintained on various management information systems.
  • Coordinates planned skills development interventions (Portable Skills, Work Experience Trainees and Graduate Internship) Supervision of HRD staff.
  • Ensures legislative compliance to relevant HRD and Mining legislation, by compiling and maintaining SLP, Mining Charter, BBBEE, WSP/ATR and Skills Development Act requirements.
  • Maintains the effectiveness of HRD information & systems reporting, by ensuring efficient delivery of reports timeously.
  • Provides effective support and training to the overall HRD structure in line with compliance, systems and reporting.
  • Maintains policies and processes to ensure MQA training provider accreditation and ISO certification through regular audits.
