A specialist Cardiology practice in Hoedspruit, Limpopo is seeking to recruit a skilled and motivated Cardiac Technologist to join their clinical team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in delivering specialised cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional support services while maintaining the highest standards of patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of cardiac diagnostic investigations including ECGs, stress ECGs, echocardiograms, carotid dopplers, and ambulatory monitoring
- Assist cardiologists during interventional and invasive cardiac procedures
- Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Operate, maintain, and quality-check specialised cardiac diagnostic equipment
- Administer medication and perform clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Capture, analyse, and accurately document diagnostic findings and patient information
- Compile reports and communicate relevant findings to the treating cardiologist
- Educate patients regarding diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatment processes
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards
- Maintain adequate stock levels of consumables and assist with equipment management
- Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate clinical records and patient documentation
Qualifications & Requirements:
- B Tech Clinical Technology or equivalent qualification
- Current HPCSA registration as a Clinical Technologist
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a cardiology environment
- PSC in Cardiac Technology advantageous
- BSE accreditation advantageous
- Computer literacy essential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification advantageous
- Sound knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and cardiac pathology
- Previous Cath Lab exposure advantageous

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 17h00
On call when required
