Cardiovascular Technologist - Pretoria

Our client, a Cardiology practice based in Pretoria, is seeking to recruit a Cardiovascular Technologist.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting a variety of diagnostic tests, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress tests, echocardiograms etc.
• Perform various procedures such as blood draws, administering medications, and setting up and monitoring patients on various machines.
• Maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition and restock supplies to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals such as nurses, physicians, and other clinical technologists to provide quality patient care.
• Maintaining patient records
• Educate patients on the procedures they will be undergoing, the expected outcomes, and any necessary precautions.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures to protect patients, staff and yourself.
• Stay updated on industry advancements in cardiovascular technology.
• Submit claims to the medical aids for the tests performed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• B Tech Clin Tech
• Registration with the HPCSA
• At least 3 years' experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist
• Valid BLS Certificate
• Computer literate
