Practice Manager, Dental practice, Johannesburg

Our client, a Dental Surgery based in Johannesburg, is seeking to recruit a Practice Manager & Assistant Business Manager to attend to the key responsibilities of the dental practice.


Responsibilities:

General practice management tasks, i.e. ensuring that the practice runs smoothly and that the personnel are performing their assigned duties

Assisting with billing and account management

Communicating and dealing with medical aids

Patient management and overseeing of booking/appointment process

Management and overseeing of the patient filing system

General admin tasks, e.g. sending emails, drafting of patient letters, etc.

Monitoring consumable and medical supply levels and liaising with suppliers to order stock, settle accounts, etc.

Oversee the drafting and issuing of treatment plans to patients (with help from the relevant medical practitioner)

Anticipate the needs of the dentists, the business manager and the practice, assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Qualification and requirements:

Matric

Education or experience in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

3+ years of experience in dental practice management and would be ideal

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience with dental software and electronic health records

Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures


Skills and Attributes:

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08h00 - 17h00

Saturdays 08h00 - 12h30
