A paediatric medical practice in Bryanston, Johannesburg is seeking to recruit a Junior Medical Receptionist and Personal Assistant to join the front office team. This opportunity is ideal for a professional, dependable, and eager-to-learn candidate who enjoys both patient interaction and providing practical day-to-day support to the doctor and practice. The successful candidate will assist with reception, administration, patient coordination, and personal assistant responsibilities within a busy specialist environment.

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Welcome and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer incoming calls and take accurate messages
  • Manage appointment scheduling and diary coordination
  • Respond to patient WhatsApp queries professionally and timeously
  • File and maintain patient records
  • Perform general front desk administration
  • Scan, file, and email documents as required
  • Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area
  • Support the practice with day to day administrative tasks
  • Monitor office and reception supplies
  • Assist with ordering stationery and practice supplies when required
  • Assist the doctor with personal assistant duties and administrative support
  • Run business and personal errands for the doctor as required
  • Coordinate collections, deliveries, and external appointments when necessary
  • Assist with preparing documentation and correspondence
  • Support the doctor with diary management and administrative follow ups
  • Assist with ensuring the smooth day to day running of the practice

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, customer service, or personal assistant role advantageous
  • Computer literacy essential
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a medical practice advantageous
  • Experience with GoodX advantageous
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice experience advantageous
  • Valid driver's licence essential
  • Own reliable vehicle essential
  • Comfortable travelling locally to attend to errands and practice related tasks
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a specialist practice environment

Working hours: Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 17h00
