An established private family practice in Claremont, Cape Town, is seeking a General Practitioner to operate their own GP practice within a group practice setup, providing comprehensive, patient-centred primary healthcare.

The ideal candidate will have an existing patient base, at least five years of private practice experience, and be comfortable working within a cash-based billing structure without medical aid affiliations.

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Provide holistic, patient-centred primary healthcare services.
  • Run an independent GP practice within the group practice setup.
  • Manage consultations and maintain continuity of care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records using Practice Perfect software.
  • Arrange appropriate referrals to specialists and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Align with the practice's cash-based billing structure, with no medical aid affiliations.
  • Uphold high ethical and professional standards in clinical practice.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage consultations and patient care efficiently and professionally.

Requirements:

  • MBChB degree.
  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
  • Up-to-date Continuing Professional Development (CPD) compliance in line with HPCSA requirements.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in private medical practice.
  • Experience using Practice Perfect software.
  • An existing patient base would be highly advantageous, preferably already established.
  • Willingness to operate within a cash-based billing structure without medical aid affiliations.

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday: Working hours are flexible and can be chosen by the practitioner.

One Saturday per month: 08h00–11h00.
