Legal Business Analyst

An experienced Business Analyst with experience of working in the legal sector is required to help impact the direction of a leading international legal firm currently undergoing a wide ranging digital transformation and modern workplace programme.
Using your expertise in Business Analysis and a keen eye for product, your work will play a crucial role in supporting our clients key IT projects and steering innovative business initiatives.
The role.
Working within our clients IT team, you will be part of a diverse project team made up key organisational stakeholders. Your work will support a wide range of IT projects, varying in both size and complexity. Beginning at ideation, youll guide, support and track each project, ensuring that the business and solution requirements and benefits are being met in order to enable the delivery of successful business outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Ideation and Recommendation: including evaluating initiatives or suggestions from any member of the organization. You will triage these ideas and recommend the next steps whether this be to direct them to existing services, provide training, or initiate any change needed.
- Analysis and Documentation: you will investigate the current state of processes, including identifying pain points, and working with stakeholders to define and document the desired outcome. You'll conduct workshops to elicit and communicate requirements. Your output will be meticulously documented for the implementation teams, often using Azure DevOps for tracking and delivery.
- Supporting Testing Activities: You will work collaboratively with the business and test teams, defining acceptance criteria and contributing to User Acceptance Testing. Your change impact analysis will inform critical change management activities, including training and communications.

Your interest in Product Analyst or Product Management will allow you the opportunity to work alongside key stakeholders in developing and maintaining product roadmaps for various legal applications.

Problem-Solving: Conduct research with key stakeholders to address business challenges, whether by enhancing existing tools or exploring suitable market options.
Roadmap Development: Create and maintain roadmaps to drive business value, guiding the development and marketing of the product in collaboration with internal and external teams.
About you.
We are looking for seasoned Business Analysts that have a proven track record, preferably within the legal sector or professional services.
- Technical ability: You will have strong technical proficiency and have experience in projects involving the selection and/or implementation of business applications, with a grasp of various tools and techniques for problem-solving, solution formulation, and risk management.
- Clear and adaptable communication styles: Your ability to communicate accurately, concisely and with adaptability is key. Your broad reach across the organisation will require you to engage with stakeholders of varying seniority and technical competency. You should show a proficiency in facilitation, active listening, and have strong presentation skills, including workshop leadership experience.
- You should also be able to demonstrate strong and accurate written and verbal communication skills across the work you have done.
- Time management: you should have exceptional time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills that allow you to handle complex projects effectively.
- Change management: You will need to be familiar with business change activities - particularly change impact analysis.
- It would also be desirable if you were to have an interest or prior knowledge in Product Analysis/Management, IT, professional services, and Microsoft product suite, including SharePoint or Power Platform.
- A good understanding of Legal Tech or document management systems such as BigHand, iManage, Intapp is desirable but not essential
