Salary: £35,000 £38,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the role
Are you an experienced Pensions Administrator looking for your next step? We are recruiting for a Senior Pensions Administrator to join our established team in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of complex SIPP and SSAS work within a business that values accuracy, professionalism and outstanding client service.
In this role, you will handle the full administration of bespoke pension schemes, support financial advisers and clients, and play an active part in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our service. You will also have the chance to mentor junior administrators and build on your technical knowledge as you develop your career.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of SIPP and SSAS administration from new scheme setup through to retirement and benefit payment
- Process pension contributions, transfers, benefit payments and investments accurately and in line with service standards
- Set up and maintain client bank accounts and investment records
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, accountants and financial advisers
- Ensure all work complies with HMRC and FCA regulations and company procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues when required
- Use systems including Excel, Word, SharePoint and Delta Platinum or Report Pro to maintain accurate records and produce reports
About you
- Previous experience in pensions administration, ideally including SIPP or SSAS work
- Strong understanding of pension legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities
- Confident communicator who can explain information clearly to clients and advisers
- Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and pension administration systems
- A team player with a proactive and professional approach to work
Desirable
- Working towards or interested in professional pensions qualifications such as PMI
- Experience mentoring or coaching other administrators
