About the role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Brokerage with a strong focus on strategic leadership and sales/relationship management to join our dynamic team. As an Head of Brokerage you will be working with the Brokerage team and play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of business development function and channel relationship management for the brokerage segment reinforcing Igloo's position as a leader in the insurtech industry and advancing our mission of making insurance accessible and affordable across diverse markets.
Job Responsibilities
- Formulate and take accountability for business strategy, business plan, budgets and financial forecasts of the Brokerage Team.
- Achieve the Sales Target and other deliverables for the brokerage segment.
- Responsible for managing, nurturing and building strong relationships with key distributors and seeking out new and profitable partnerships.
- Responsible for developing the existing segments to broaden our distribution.
- Provide guidance to the Distribution Support and Marketing team member on day-to-day enquiries on products, illustrations and sales techniques.
- Keep up-to-date with major developments related to products offered and significant changes in the insurance market.
- Update the Brokerage Team policies and procedures to conform to international best practice.
- Ensure that all compliance requirements relating to KYC, Client money and AML are met at all times.
Job Requirements
- A self-starter with hands-on experience
- Identify how to incorporate technology in the brokerage business
- Create a sustainable, resilient and recurrent business
- Identify, generate and close opportunities with clients of any industry and any geography in the Philippines.
- At least 5 to 6 years of Brokerage experience, preferably with proven Insurance industry experiences
- Prior experience working in a high-growth environment, ideally with a mix of experience in MNCs and start ups
- Critical thinking skills and growth mindset
- Experience in hiring, training, managing a brokerage division/team
