Role Summary
IES is looking to recruit a reliable and organised Store Person to join our team, supporting operations within the Blackrod area while also taking responsibility for a satellite yard in Tebay. This is a hands‑on role supporting day‑to‑day yard and warehouse activities, ensuring materials, equipment and stock are managed efficiently, safely and in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
The role will involve receiving, checking and storing deliveries while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring materials are readily available for engineers and site teams. You will be responsible for picking and issuing materials, loading and unloading vehicles, and carrying out routine stock checks to identify and report shortages. Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant yard and stores area is essential, including ensuring skips are managed appropriately and pole bays are kept to company standards.

You will also be required to place orders for materials and equipment through supplier portals, ensuring stock levels are maintained and operational needs are met. The position includes oversight of the satellite yard in Tebay, ensuring it is well maintained, appropriately stocked and operating in line with health and safety requirements. Supporting general warehouse and yard duties will form part of the day‑to‑day responsibilities.

Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or similar environment is preferred, although not essential. You will demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team. The role requires a good level of physical fitness due to manual handling activities, along with basic IT skills to support stock control and ordering processes. A forklift licence would be advantageous, and a full UK driving licence is desirable.

What We Offer
IES offers a competitive salary alongside the opportunity to take ownership of a key operational function within a growing business. You will be part of a supportive team that prioritises safety, quality and continuous improvement, with opportunities for career development within a rapidly expanding energy services company.
