Web Developer - (ExpressEngine)

Job Summary:

As an ExpressEngine Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications using the ExpressionEngine platform. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver feature-rich and user-friendly applications that meet business and technical requirements. This role requires deep knowledge of ExpressionEngine, PHP, and web development best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain websites and applications using the ExpressionEngine CMS.

• Collaborate with designers to implement and refine the visual design in line with user experience and usability standards.

• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code in PHP and ExpressionEngines templating language.

• Manage and configure ExpressionEngine add-ons and plugins to extend functionality.

• Integrate third-party services and APIs as needed to support application features.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in existing applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and propose solutions that align with project goals.

• Optimize websites for speed, scalability, and responsive design.

• Maintain security standards, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with ExpressionEngine development.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.

• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Angular) is a plus.

• Version Control: Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote teams.

• Additional Requirements: Familiarity with ExpressionEngine add-ons and third-party integrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in other CMS platforms or a broader range of development frameworks.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments.
