Integration Engineer (LatAm) - PHP/Laravel / API Integrations

Location: Remote | Engagement: Full-time | Client: Healthcare Marketplace

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Integration Engineer to join their engineering team. The platform integrates with multiple partners, suppliers, and distributors through a wide range of technologies from lightweight scripts to deep API integrations.

You'll design and build high-performance, scalable integrations and APIs that directly impact real users. The ideal candidate has strong backend development skills, thrives in an Agile environment, and enjoys building reliable, production-grade systems that make life easier for customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable integrations and applications

• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend data services

• Lead the full integration lifecycle from requirements and development to deployment and monitoring

• Implement robust error-handling and recovery mechanisms

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth partner integrations

• Write clean documentation for processes, architecture, and features

• Stay current with modern tools, frameworks, and best practices

Technical Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a PHP / Laravel developer

• Solid understanding of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 10+

• Proficiency in SQL schema design, REST API design, and SOLID principles

• Experience with unit testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat) and TDD workflows

• 1-2 years of production experience with Golang, chromedp, Puppeteer, and Node.js

• Knowledge of cXML, AWS Cloud, and DevOps practices is a plus
