Job Openings
Software Engineer (LATAM) - Node.js, Python, and/or Go
About the job Software Engineer (LATAM) - Node.js, Python, and/or Go
We're recruiting on behalf of a Series A, venture-backed infrastructure company. They build the platforms and data systems that some of the most advanced technology organizations in the world depend on.
The team is small and post–Series A, which means individual contributors have direct, visible impact on core systems rather than owning a slice of someone else's architecture. Growth has been steep. The operating culture is closer to an early-stage startup than to a typical software company — high output, high accountability, very little process.
This is a fully remote role open to engineers across LATAM.
What You'll Own
- Scalable systems, end to end. You'll take real ownership of projects rather than tickets — designing, building, and running them in production.
- Full-stack and platform engineering. Human-in-the-loop platforms, fraud detection systems, data infrastructure at scale, and complex operational workflows.
- Reliability at speed. Solving genuine scalability and reliability problems where the trade-offs actually matter.
- Cross-functional shipping. Working directly with research, product, and design to move fast without letting quality slip.
- Core infrastructure. Contributing to the systems the whole company runs on.
What We're Looking For
Must-have
- Strong coding fundamentals in Node.js and TypeScript, Python, and/or Go
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability challenges, and system design
- Familiarity with cloud platforms — GCP or AWS — plus Kubernetes, APIs, and NoSQL databases
- Ability to reason about trade-offs and balance speed against reliability under pressure
- An active GitHub with real, substantive projects — you're a builder at heart
- Proactive by default: you identify problems and drive solutions without being told to
- A strong bias toward simple solutions to complex problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A clear, compelling answer to why you want to join a startup and work in this space right now
Nice-to-have
- Background as a founding engineer at a high-growth startup
- Ex-founder of a technically sophisticated product
- Experience at a top-tier quantitative trading firm
- A track record of thriving in past fast-paced startup roles, with references to back it
