About the job Information Security Engineer
We are searching for an experienced Information Security Engineer to become a key member of our Falls Church, VA team. With a flat organizational structure led by engineers, you'll have considerable autonomy and the opportunity to innovate beyond routine tasks. You'll be instrumental in designing new features, refining complex interfaces, and making impactful technical and product decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments across diverse assets.
- Configure and manage firewall rules effectively.
- Administer and enhance the security of Linux servers.
- Monitor network traffic to various sites and cloud assets, implementing IP blocks as needed.
- Lead the implementation of Anti-Virus software.
- Analyze and prioritize vulnerability scan results.
- Support security incident response efforts.
- Develop and operationalize security controls and best practices.
- Advocate security best practices internally and mentor fellow engineers.
- Serve as the primary security liaison with enterprise clients, articulating the company's security program.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Proficient command line skills on Linux.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Nessus, Open VAS, or Qualys for vulnerability management.
- Expertise in implementing security solutions.
- Experience with CCPA/GDPR-related security and vendor risk assessment.
- Experience with phishing management and cloud security.
- Preferably experienced in threat modeling and penetration testing.
- Relevant certifications (IEC, CISSP, CISM, CISA) are beneficial.
- Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Falls Church, VA.
